Adding a Stock Part

Adding parts to the Stock page in Auction Manager is one of the first things you need to do. Parts need to be added to Auction Templates to define what you are selling, and they also must be added to the Sales. You cannot create a Sale from a Sold Listing until you have the parts set up.

- To add a part to stock, you must first go to the Stock page by clicking 'Stock' in the menu.

- Click 'Add' to bring up the part window for a new part.

- The Edit Part window has 3 main sections:
 Details:
- Enter the unique code for the part in the Part Number field. It cannot contain the astrix(*), comma(,) or space( ) characters. Also enter a short description of the part in the Description field. This is added to the description field for Parts in Sales.
- Enter values for the Current Stock Count, Minimum Operating Count (The count that is used for re-ordering Stock Alerts) and the Minimum Stock Count (The count that is used to stop loading listings etc).
- Select a Product Group, which is used to categorise your Stock for filtering.

 Buying:
- Enter the Minimum Order Quantity value (Used when the part is added to a Purchase Order) and Lead Time value (Used for calculating Stock Alerts).

 Selling:
