Q: How do I hide completed sales from the sales table?

A: To hide completed sales, click on the "More..." button next to the filter box and untick 'Completed' and 'Cancelled'. Leaving 'Flagged' ticked ensures that flagged sales remain in the table even if they are completed.

Q: How do I find all sales from a particular customer?

A: Firstly you want to find the customer card by going to the Customers page and type some of the customer details in the filter. Once you find and select the customer in the table, click on the Sales GoTo button at the top of the main window to view all their sales.

Q: How do I find deatils about a customer?

A: This is where the Global Search comes in handy. Type the customers name, email address, phone number or other unique detail in the Global Search box at the top of the main window and hit Enter. You will be redirected to the built in web browser where the customer sales, card, webshop sales or customer details or sold Trade Me listings will be listed. You can then link to individual or groups of information from there.

Q: What is the 'Webshop' and do I need one?

A: The Webshop feature in Auction Manager allows you to connect to an osCommerce bases website where you are selling your products or services. If you do not have an online store, then don't worry, the Webshop feature is optional and can be disabled in the Settings.

Q: Why do my Auction Templates fail to load?

A: The first thing to do when an item in the Process Que fails is to click on the information icon. This usually tells you a message giving a reason why the item has failed. The most common reasons that an auction will not load are:

 1. Your Trade Me balance is negative. Check your balance in the Quick Info (bottom left of main window). Force your account information to update to be sure.

 2. Some Auction Template information is incomplete. If you have loaded incomplete details such not selecting a category, then the auction will not load correctly.

 3. The Trade Me categories have been changed - If Trade Me update their category listing, Auction Manager needs to be updated as well. You can do this via Tools -> Update Trade Me Categories.

Q: How do I import my stock from MYOB?

A: Stock items are transferred from MYOB to Auction Manager via a text file.

The easiest way to export the items from MYOB is to export an 'Analyse Inventory Summary' report (Reports -> Inventory), ensuring the file format is 'Comma-Separated'.

To import the stock into Auction manager, go File -> Import -> Stock Items, and match the required columns for the data you want to import. For example 'On Hand' should be matched with 'Quantity' to import stock counts. Ensure you pay attention to the two tick boxes at the bottom, if you do not want to import new items, or update existing items.
