Auction Template Settings
General
Add the following text...: When enabled, the text provided is added to the end of every auction body.
Default: Enabled
Comment
When enabled, the comment provided is added to each new auction at the time it is loaded. This can be useful for promotions, or adding important information for every auction.
Default: Enabled
Table Highlighting
Highlighting can be enabled for the rows in the Auction Templates table to show Auction Templates that are either scheduled to load before the end of the day, or cannot load. For each option, click on 'Select Colour' to choose the highlight colour. Click on 'Default' to restore to the default colour.
Auctions loading today: Auctions that are loading before the end of the day will be highlighted with the selected colour.
Default: Enabled - Green
Auctions that cannot load: Sometimes auctions cannot load if the Trade Me maximum free listings has been reached, or the account balance is zero or below, and the relevant settings are enabled.
Default: Enabled - Salmon
Note: Remaining Auction Template rows will not have any highlighting.
Automation
The automation features for Auction Templates provide control over how and when Auction Templates are loaded.
Enable Automatic Auction Template Scheduling: This enables the automatic scheduling of auctions, regardless of the specific Auction Template settings. When disabled, no auctions will not be loaded, but their scheduled times will still be updated if the relevant option is enabled.
Default: Enabled
Trickle feed auction loading...: When enabled, auctions scheduled to be loaded at the
same time, or close together, will be trickle fed so that they will be X minutes apart. This can be useful if you want to allow bidders to bid on more than one auction that is scheduled at the same time.
Default: Disabled, 2 minutes
Check account balance when loading auctions: When enabled, Auction Manager will
check the Trade Me account balance before loading auctions. If the balance is $0 or negative, auction loading will be paused.
Default: Enabled
Max free listings options
Auction Manager includes a 'smart' monitor for loading auctions when the maximum free listings has been reached. Auction Manager may be configured to either:
- Ignore the maximum free listings count, and load auctions regardless.
- Pause loading auctions when the maximum free listings count has been reached, preventing the additional listing free.
- Pause loading auctions when the maximum free listings count has been reached, but force the remaining auctions to load at the end of the day if no more listings are due to close. This ensures all auctions are loaded each day, but attempts to minimise the additional listing fees.
Default: Ignore my Max Free Listings
Update schedule if auction is skipped: When enabled, if an auction is skipped
its schedule will be updated so that it can still load at the next scheduled time. If this option is disabled and an auction is not able to be loaded on the scheduled day, the
auction will stay in the queue to be loaded at the next available time.
Default: Disabled
Allow Fixed Price Offers...: When enabled, fixed priced offers will be made automatically if the option is enabled in the Auction Template. Disabling this option stops all fixed price offers.
Default: Enabled
Windows Task Scheduler
In order to ensure Auction Manager is running at the time auctions are due to load, you can set up the Windows Task Scheduler to automatically start Auction Manager for you.
Default: Disabled
Username: Enter the user account name for the Windows user account that you are using.
Password: Enter the password to the account you entered above.
Note: The Task Scheduler is setup each time Auction Manager loads, therefore, if Auction Manager is not shut down properly, it may not load automatically as expected.
Note: In order for Auction Manager to interface to Windows Task Scheduler, it must have the correct permissions. If you have Windows User Account Control (UAC) enabled, you will be presented with a confirmation box every time Auction Manager loads. To disable UAC, please follow the instructions here.
